These dealer pics made my decision to buy a little easier! When buying a bike from a dealer or a used bike from an individual, get high resolution photos sent to you so you can blow them up. You need to see all the details! Or better yet, take an experienced rider friend to see the bike in person!

Wind In My Face All Last Summer of 2009!

Well...where to begin this year in 2010! As you can see I didn't make any post's documenting too much of my experience as a new rider in 2009. That's because I just honestly spent a lot of time riding my Harley! I had a great summer! I learned a lot!

I took delivery of my bike in March of '09. I took my Rider Safety Course on April 1st. I passed the rider course with no problem. The written test at MMV department I had to take twice before I passed. All I can say about the written test is to be sure to re-read the question and answers at least 3 times before selecting your answer. If you have to go back and retake the test the questions will be totally different. Just pick the best answer. Be sure to read the Motor Vehicles manual for your state at least two or three times and you should have no problem.

After I got my license I continued to ride a little more in my favorite parking lot with my husband Ace giving me more pointers. I also practiced some of the things I'd learned in the Rider Safety Course. Such as swerving, stopping quickly and riding really slow without putting my feet down in a circle. I finally felt I was ready to get on the road!

So I went on a few rides with my husband on a favorite little road called Blue Mountain Road. It's a great road with a lot of curves on it. The top speed is 45. The majority of the road is a 35mph limit. It's a great learning road to go on. It winds along the river with great views. I always let my husband lead. I would watch him carefully. He's a great rider. I was able to follow in his path so I could learn how to negotiate the curves. I highly recommend doing this when you first learn to ride. Follow behind someone who's an experienced rider.

I gotta run for now. I'll write more later! I promise to write more often this year and post some pics from all the great rides from last year! ;)
